August 03, 2006-Tempe, AZ- The Ferrari Club of America Desert Region has announced a new location for the 2007 Concorso Arizona, an Italian Sports Car and Exotics Show. The event will be held Saturday, April 14, 2007 at Tempe Diablo Stadium in Tempe, Arizona.
Diablo Stadium is the facility utilized by the California Angels Major League Baseball Team for Spring Training each March. The stadium will be in top condition to showcase the Concorso Arizona event. Cars will be displayed on the field and common public traffic area within the stadium as well as in front of the stadium. In October 2005, 7,500 spectators were in attendance to support Concorso Arizona which was held at Boulders Resort in North Scottsdale. Approximately 150 beautiful examples of Italian cars and bikes were on display. The event has found the need to relocate to a larger facility to properly accommodate the cars on display, spectator cars and foot traffic as this event builds serious momentum each year.

Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Pantera, DeTomaso, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Abarth, Iso Griffo, Ducatti and more will be on display and judged in their appropriate class. Many of these cars are from the greatest collections in the world and several have values hovering around or above $1,000,000. The photographic opportunities are excellent.

Concorso Arizona aims to help preserve the admiration of collector cars among future generations. A Make-and-Take feature will offer children the opportunity to build an entry-level snap together model car and take it home. Volunteer judges will take kids around in a group and show them exactly what they look for when meticulously judging cars at these events with respects to chassis, engine, body, interior and more.

Vendors including factory authorized representatives will offer everything from hats and shirts with logos such as Ferrari and Lamborghini to car care products and die cast models. The crowd enjoys the vendors hand-outs such as promotional shirts, backs and other products. Dealers will display the latest exotic cars and more. Food and drink will be provided by Tempe Diablo Stadium and entertainment is planned throughout the day.

The famed collector car rally Copper State 1000 Rally will launch from the stadium site the next morning. This 1000 mile rally meanders through parts of Arizona, Nevada, Utah and New Mexico over three days and takes a different route each year. Many of the cars will be on display Saturday at Concorso. These are pristine examples of some of the greatest cars every built including Gull wing Mercedes, Jaguar XK120 and XK140, Corvette and more. On Sunday, The Ferrari’s will follow the first leg of the Copper State 1000 rally with police escort. It’s always a site to see these cars in motion.
