Guests of the day-long celebration will enjoy a white-linen and china picnic of Italian, French and California “fresh” cuisine to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Ferrari 250 Series 1 Convertible, an elegant and rare convertible made in 1957 with a limited production of 40 vehicles; the Monte Carlo Rally, celebrating its 75th Anniversary as one of the most famous rallies in the world; and 50 years of racing at Laguna-Seca, Monterey Peninsula’s renowned raceway. The Quail will also celebrate the 100th anniversary of Briggs Cunningham, a racecar enthusiast and victorious American Cup sailor. Louis Roederer Champagne and other award-winning wines from Italy, France and the Central Coast will be served in throughout the event, to complement the cuisines.

Created by Quail Lodge’s noted culinary team, under the direction of Executive Chef Jeff Rogers, guests will savor a splendid array of delicacies best characterized for their fresh and beautifully layered flavors using only the best local and artisan ingredients. Local purveyors include organic produce from neighboring Earthbound Farms, salmon from Monterey Bay, bleu cheese from Point Reyers Farmstead Cheese Company and heirloom melons, tomatoes and corn from Swank Family Farms. Artesian meats include sausage from Sonoma County Master Sausage Maker, Richard Caggiano and cured meats from Italian villages in Parma, San Daniele and Abruzzi.

Enthusiasts will also head off-road at the Land Rover Experience Driving School, one of three such schools in the United States, and view a brilliant display of fine jewelry that will be available for purchase. Attendees also have access to Bonhams & Butterfields live auction of historic cars, estate jewelry and fine art.

Tickets to The Quail are US$ 200 per person, which includes admission to the event, wine tasting, fine cuisine, a collectible poster and event magazine, and access to the Bonhams & Butterfields auction.
