This custom Mustang looked great at McCall’s Motorworks Revival at the Monterey Jet Center. Sure, that’s no 289… but it still has a horse on it.

The Saleen S7 is a striking car — but even more so in red. This twin-turbo example brought $643,000 at RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction.
Understated colors are best on Full Classics — this was one of two 1932 Duesenberg Model J Victoria Coupes designed by Gordon Buehrig and built by Judkins. It did not sell at RM Sotheby’s for $1.25m.
Fred Buess fires up his Stanley — literally — for its steam-powered trip across the block at Gooding’s Pebble Beach auction.
The Exotics on Broadway car show was a huge draw this year — showing off all kinds of exotics, including a handful of Ford GTs.
The Pebble Beach Concours had a special Hot Rod Cover Car Class — this is Tommy Ivo’s 1925 Ford Roadster Pickup, owned by Jack and Linda Rosen of Rancho Mirage, CA. It was featured on the cover of Hot Rod Magazine in August, 1957.
