AUBURN, Ind. (March 15, 2011) ? As part of the recently-announced joint marketing and corporate cooperation agreement between Carlisle Events and Auctions America by RM, the Spring Carlisle auction is now produced by Auctions America and continues to be part of the famous Spring Carlisle swap meet and car corral weekend. The auction schedule has been extended to include a third day where a total of 300 motor cars will be up for bids from Thursday, April 28 through to Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Carlisle (PA) Expo Center. The newly-added Saturday sale day will see the highest quality automobiles of the event cross the auction podium.
Bill Miller, Founder and Co-owner, Carlisle Events remarks: “Carlisle Collector Car Auctions have been growing each and every year since its inception. Now with the association with Auctions America by RM, the sky is the limit. In addition to the expanded hours and customer parking, buyers and sellers will benefit from the combination of clientele from Carlisle and the customer base of RM, the largest collector car auction house in the world! More than 100,000 people come to Spring Carlisle for the swap meet and auction: Hopefully one of them will be you this year. Join us for the kick-off of this new combination of companies dedicated to the collector car hobby.”
Leading early consignments is a matching-numbers 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Fuelie Roadster (estimate: $60,000 – $75,000) finished in Riverside Red with a beautiful white interior and complete with both a red hardtop and a white soft top. It has benefitted from a frame-off restoration executed by a NCRS judge and comes equipped with a fuel-injected 327-cu.in.V8 engine mated to a four-speed manual transmission, producing 375 horsepower.
“Our entire team is thrilled to be partnered with such a highly respected organization as Carlisle Events,” added Donnie Gould, President, Auctions America by RM. “We look forward to this first event together and to lending our auction expertise to the ongoing growth and success of the auctions staged in Carlisle for the collector car community.”
